Saradar Foundation
Saradar foundation is a non-profit organization established by the Saradar family, initially to provide financial assistance to active and retired colleagues.
This first mission evolved significantly in 2001: at the initiative of Mario Saradar, the foundation expanded its field of action to respond to the needs of the Lebanese society continuously confronted with new social, economic cultural and technological changes.
The creation of this institution comes in line with the spirit of solidarity set by Joe Saradar who was Chairman and General Manager of Banque Saradar from 1962 to 1992.
By providing a legal framework to pursue the initiative started by Joe Saradar, Mario Saradar is committed to ensure its continuity and to favor the values of solidarity and humanism that were his father's.
Saradar foundation is dedicated to strengthening social cohesion and to promoting sustainable human development in order to achieve a "society for all", founded on social equity, economic prosperity and environmental protection. Its action is based on citizen participation and on effective partnership between the business sector and civil society in confronting today's challenges. Today, its main activities are focused on disseminating e-literacy in Lebanon through its "Caravans" or mobile computer schools.

Blue stars
In 1970, a group of alumni from Collège Notre Dame de Jamhour established CAEJ (Club des Anciens Elèves de Jamhour), the Alumni Club of Jamhour, whose mission was to offer professional training in all sports activities. It was a successful mission, since the Club soon launched a great number of champions both on the Arab and international sports scene and worked with the different Lebanese federations.
The story of the Blue Stars is first and foremost the story of a passion for basket ball.
The sponsor of CAEJ and a skilled player, the manager of Groupe Saradar does not hesitate to initiate and motivate this team sport by putting his own stamp on it. The aim behind this team's constitution was to give Lebanon the opportunity to win an Olympic medal. In order to share his passion, Mario Saradar pragmatically intended to offer his country all the opportunities that would allow it to regain a performance level matching its true potential. It is one of the main reasons that allow the Blue Stars to pursue a career based on professionalism and team spirit. |
